The Blues Brother's!

We watched it with Daddy tonight. It's a great movie! Those guys are cool!

Christmas is over!

I've missed my mommy and daddy. I like to snuggle with them at night and EVERY night they have gone out. Finally, last night they stayed home and I got to read a book with my mommy. Tonight they went out, but are back already! With a dehumidifier! Thank goodness. I can't use moisturizer. Elwood thought we should drink the water from the humidifier! Silly Elwood.

-Jake

I'm a big boy! Momma's proud.

I had a bit of a hairball this morning. While I was helping Mommy in the bathroom with drying her hair. I threw it up right into the sink! I didn't even make a mess. Mommy was shocked. She said "good boy" and usually she freaks out when I make the 'hairball noise'. I can't help it, it's been SO dry in here that I am shedding like a golden retriever. Luckily tonight they bought a dehumidifier. I hope it helps. I can't use moisturizer you know!

Haggis

Mmmmm, there was Haggis on TV today. It looked so yummy. I don't know why all the food is chicken or turkey flavored - sheeps brains taste good. Oh well. I guess I'll have to go figure out how to get teh ham out of the soup in the kitchen.

Oh and Jake totally outsmarted Elwood today. He let Elwood look and look for presents but Jake and I BOTH knew where they were. It was fun because Elwood things he's hot stuff, being a former spy and all.

The Presents

I'm pooped, last night I helped Mommy wrap all sorts of presents. I don't know that she understood that I was helping...because she kept shooing me away. I must have been a little helpful because she took a picture. It's been a long day. Elwood had me on a spy mission with him (I don't know why he still thinks he's a spy, I mean get serious, we live in a condo in the burbs) to find presents that Mommy hid from Daddy. He said Daddy promised him catnip if he could find them. I KNOW where they are. Mommy wrapped them this morning before Daddy got up and put them in the pile with all of the other gifts. Daddy didn't even NOTICE. Elwood snooped, but then Mommy came home and fed us, and we all got tired.

The Ornaments are up!

This is the BEST part of Christmas. Now if Mommy and Daddy would just go out and do some shopping or something. They get upset if we play with the ornaments. I've been very sly. I have been pretending to have no interest in the Tree at all (well okay, last night it got the better of me - by the way - I don't think it's real because it tastes like plastic. ) So what if I puke?

Jake December 12, 2006

So, I told Mommy what happened today. Obie attacked Agent Elwood and made a huge mess. Then I told her how Obie once again put his dirty paws in our water. I wish I could have my own little water bowl. I don't want his germs.
Mommy's home now though so I'm happy.
Tonight I will try to hog the bed and maybe Daddy will go sleep somewhere else. I'll update tomorrow.

Obie - December 12, 2006

Why won't they play with me. I know Jake's kind of bossy, and really so large I don't want to mess with him, but Agent Elwood could have played. He's so uppity about being a former spy...what kind of spy doesn't like Hide n Seek? Seriously.

Oh and the TREE is up. I can't wait for them to put up the ornaments....then it will be REALLY fun. I don't know what they are waiting for!

Elwood - December 12, 2006

What is going on here? I keep trying to tell my dad to change the litter but he just doesn't listen. So finally, today, I had to leave him a little message outside the box. He got it. He was tired though so Mommy cleaned it. She's really the one who takes care of us anyway.

Oh and Obie woke me up from my nap so I body slammed him. He should know better.

The Boys

We thought we'd start our own blog, but as we don't have any kids, we thought we'd start the blog for our "boys".

Our boys are: Jake, Elwood & Obie.

History:

Elwood: A former CIA spy from the Cold War with the scars to prove it. He spent many years under cover in East Berlin hoping to uncover the illegal cat nip ring. He is now retired and prefers to sit and check out what is going on around him. He also likes to test out echos in each room of our condo - on a daily basis - preferably at bed time. This is an old habit from his spy days when he had to speak in code to his fellow undercover operatives.

Jake: A/K/A the "Jakester", the great great great great grandson of the Emperor of Siam's first cat, the great great great great grandson of John Rockefeller's first cat and a very chatty Oriental Persian from Dorchester . He really likes to talk, and can talk for hours about any topic. He is also enormous, weighing it 25 lbs, and all long and lean.

Obie: A Scottish Prince who hails from the Castle Hairball, located near Loch Feline, Rex, Scotland. There has been some speculation that he has a bit of Maine Coon in him - but he never grew bigger than 8 lbs - so that's out. He has whiskers that could rival any Scottsmans.
